Academic qualifications

Recognized Matriculation or Foundation with a CGPA of 2.00; or Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with two full passes or equivalent with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00; or Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid; or Diploma in Creative Multimedia [Level 4, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)] or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 (Candidates with a CGPA between 2.00 and 2.50 can be accepted subject to an internal assessment process); or Pass the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) examination with at least a Grade B in five subjects including English; or Pass the A-Level examination with a full pass in two subjects or its equivalent; or Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia. Note: Pass Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 1. Pass interview and drawing test.

Pass an interview or submission of portfolio determined by the HEP as required.

a) A Master’s Degree (Level 7 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF| or equivalent and candidates must have completed at least one (1) of their earlier Degree (Master’s or Bachelor’s) in Computing or related to computing. OR c) A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) candidates who are registered for Master’s Degree programmes may apply to convert to the Doctoral Degree programmes subjected to the following conditions: Within 1 year for full time and within 2 years for part-time candidates: Having shown competency and capability in conducting research at Doctoral level through rigorous internal evaluation by the HEP; and Approval of the HEP Senate. OR d) Other qualifications equivalent to a Master Degree (Level 7 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in the field or related fields recognized by the HEP Senate.
